Hybernation celebrates the start of his new residency on Fluid Radio this friday evening at 7pm. This rather special 2 hour DJ set recorded live at this years Boundless Festival was commissioned by Steam Control. You can tune in here.
Fluid Radio is a site playing the very best in deep, melodic electronic sounds. The vision for the station is to be a universal project that allows listeners, artists, producers and promoters to be completely involved in the growth and direction of the project. Fluid is a space for celebrating the beauty and diversity of chillout soundscapes. A space to share in the creative process and spread the experience of inner exploration through musical expression.
Hybernation has 2 releases so far on Rednetic and Paperscissorstone with two more releases due later this year on Rednetic and Smallfish.

EXHIBITION OPENING AND PERFORMANCE
FOCAL POINT GALLERY
SOUTHEND CENTRAL LIBRARY (2ND FLOOR)
14 NOVEMBER 7.30PM TO 9.30PM
Please join us in the gallery to celebrate the opening of the exhibition ‘Breaking Up’ by Suffolk based artist Mark Dixon. Comprising of a single screen video installation, the work ruminates on the history of our urban environment, within the context of the rampant government led regeneration programme that has recently been sweeping the UK.
During the opening, Mark Dixon will also be giving a performance. Everyone is welcome, no invitation necessary. Admission free. Please see www.focalpoint.org.uk for more information.

During Metal’s recent trip to South Africa to take part in the music festival Pan African Space Station (www.panafricanspacestation.org.za) we met some fantastic musicians from all across Africa, and the diaspora (London, New York and Europe). Early conversations mean that some of these musicians may find their way to Southend very soon.
Richard Baxter, Debora D’Auria, Ann Robson, Mina Sabri-Tabrizi, Gary Scofield, Mandy Tout and James Townsend formed the first of the Project Lulu Group Exhibitions.
