2 Feb – Book tickets for OIL CITY CONFIDENTIAL film + concert

The screening of Oil City Confidential has finally come to Southend.

The ODEON CINEMA in Southend will show the film on 2 February at 7.30pm in a special UK-wide red carpet event.
The film and a music concert will be streamed from a live performance from Wilko Johnson and his band (featuring Blockheads Norman Watt Roy and Dylan Howe) with special guest Alison Moyet in Koko in Camden. The screening will begin with an introduction by Julien Temple and MC Keith Allen.
Oil City Confidential is also screened at Canvey’s Movie Starr Cinema (T: 01268 695 000) on 2-4 February, at 6.05pm and 8.25pm

    Tickets for the 2 Feb rocknroll cinema event in Koko in London have now Sold Out.

    Tickets are still available from participating cinemas and spectators will enjoy the film, the introduction by Julien Temple and Wilko Johnson performing Dr Feelgood hits with Alison Moyet and Blockhead musicians Norm Watt Roy and Dylan Howe, across the UK and Ireland.

    There is a real buzz around the film, the release on 2 Feb (not the 5/2/10 as mentioned in places), the RocknRoll cinema format, the film soundtrack.
    Julien Temple was on BBC 6 Breakfast show this morning. BBC News now. Local press are picking up on the exciting news. Uncut, Empire, Guardian have all reviewed the film and given it 3 to 5 stars. Record Collector has given the soundtrack 5/5 stars.
