This Friday, Cliffs Pavillion presents Samba Samba – an evening of Brazilian music performed by Caratinga.
Caratinga are one of Britain’s finest exponents of the genre, featuring music for madolin, percussion, guitar, violin and vocals.

About Caratinga: Brazil’s greatest musical export is undoubtedly the music and songs of the Samba along with its instrumental twin style Choro which together form a tradition stretching back more than a century. Caratinga are one of Britain’s finest exponents of the genre featuring Anselmo Netto on Mandolin & percussion, Jonathan Preiss on seven stringed guitar, Leandra Varanda on vocals and Felipe Karam on violin and the cavaquinho, a Brazilian form of the ukulele.
