Slack Space in Colchester have received a donation of a large collection of vintage posters. They will be auctioned this Saturday, with proceeds going towards supporting Spack Space’s work with local artists and community.
They include vintage posters from Colchester’s Minories dating back over 40 years, and early posters from Colchester Arts Centre, the University Gallery, original posters from the Royal Academy exhibitions (Sensations, Monet and The Art of Photography and others).
The audtion takes place this Saturday, 16 April.

Due to size the auction of posters will be split into three parts:
3pm Part One: Of local interest
6pm Part Two: Film, music and miscellaneous
9pm Part Three: The Royal Academy
Refreshments will be available throughout the day.
HOW TO BID:
To bid on a piece in advance – email colchesterslackers@googlemail.com stating your name, the lot number you are bidding on and your maximum bid. They will then bid on your behalf up to this amount.
All posters can be picked up from Slack Space anytime Wed – Sat 11am – 6pm the week after the auction.
