A two-weeks annual arts festival, Artside, is looking for artists for its 2012 edition.
Call for artists to create engaging, thought-provoking, site-specific work for an exciting variety of over 20 participating venues, including public spaces such as the Pier, the beach and the High Street. They can be in any medium, including painting, sculpture, installation, performance and video.
Particularly welcome are proposals related to a specific business or venue, its nature or space, or involving the venue’s staff and the visitors. See the list of venues on Artside website and indicate any preferences in your application.
The shortlisted artists will be invited to visit Southend to further develop their proposal.
DEADLINE 31 DECEMBER 2011.
