Three bands live at Chinnerys tomorrow – BB, with Plastic Youth and My Heroine.
BB is an alterno-rock band from Southend:
PLASTIC YOUTH – Plastic Youth formed in 2010 and quickly garnered plaudits with debut double A-side single Animal Style/Death Row produced by Verve & Black Ships guitarist Nick McCabe.
Their debut release goes out on former Libertine, Gary Powells label ’25 Hour Convenience Store’.
MY HEROINE – All female rock band based in London and Essex, comprising of, Emma (Vocals/Guitar), Giverny (Vocals/Guitar), Georgie (Vocals/Bass) and Alex (Drums). The band came together from all over the country in 2010 and immediately started drawing media attention with their unique sound, catchy riffs, solid beats and heartfelt lyrics.
In 2011, My Heroine toured England and Wales, and appeared on radio and in magazines as well as gained an endorsement from Ernie Ball and sponsorship from Shell, and in 2012 they’ve won Essex Battle Of the Bands. They are due to release their debut album soon.
