MOSAIC WORKSHOP

Debbie Hadley will be running two mosaic workshops at Studio Eleven on Thursday 9th August and Saturday 18th August. The workshops are suitable for complete beginners and aim to build the participants confidence in working with this kind of media, who will be able to make and take home the artwork created at the workshop.
All materials will be provided for a A4 mosaic, however if participants would like to mosaic something else then that can probably be arranged. The workshop are from 10am – 4pm with an hour for lunch, lunch can either be bought at the Cliffs Pavilion or bring a packed lunch. Tea and Coffee will be provided.
The cost of each workshop is £46 including a donation of £4 to Community Mosaics East; Debbie is a member of this group which is currently raising money for their next project. Community Mosaics East hopes to create a bright and touchable mosaic in the sensory garden of Centre Place Family Centre. It will enable blind and visually-impaired people to enjoy a beautiful and safe art form.
Young people from the Woodgrange Estate and neighbourhood will help create the work following their success on the mosaic already completed with Community Mosaics East at Southend Unitarian Church.
