The Jam Jar girls will be filling Metal’s Cafe Valise with the swinging sounds of jazz as they bring their new jam night to the Chalkwell Park venue.
Featuring the vocal talents of Elisa Adams and Hannah Marsh as well as guest spots from popular duo Two for Tea and jazz daddy Digby Fairweather all supported by a tremendously talented piano/bass duo – and a few more surprise guests on the night – it’ll be an evening of fun and frivolity, pin curls and petticoats and good old fashioned entertainment.
The night will take a trip through some of the tinkling sounds of the Twenties, the swooning romance of the Thirties, some perky Forties and Fifties numbers and a dip into the sultry, smoky Sixties, so feel free to don your finest vintage garb and come on down to raise a glass and tap your feet.
Have a dance, have a drink and have yourself a fine old time as the Jam Jar girls invite you to their first of their travelling jazz nights in the atmospheric surroundings of Metal‘s visiting Cafe Valise… and watch this space, who knows where they’ll pop up next!
Free (donations welcome).
