Clive Cowan @clive ?
Based in Essex, I am a singer / songwriter / guitarist / musician, also a poet, and published photographer and features writer. Simply, I am passionate about 'the arts'. As an established musician, my roots are in Folk-Rock but I have an eclectic taste and very many influences from hard rock to classical. I mostly play solo electro-acoustic guitar with vocals or electric guitar with a drum sequencer which I ‘play’ live with foot pedals, performing my compositions and interpretations of popular songs including Bowie, Bolan (T.Rex) and very many more. Additionally I compose and orchestrate on the keyboard, although this work is currently confined to the studio. My instrumental 'Evening Mist' (Opus No.1 in C Major) is a pastoral piece composed as a celebration of 'Peace, Harmony and in Exaltation of Nature' and has incited enthusiastic comments from Australia to Singapore, the Ukraine through Moscow and mainland Europe to Canada and Argentina. My stage credits include opening for: the Strawbs, Waking the Witch and Amy Wadge and I regularly play the Leigh Folk Festival among others. I have a quality, new PA system and am available for bookings - ever thought about a 'Private House Concert' to add a special interest to your party or soirée? Please listen to my music and read my poetry on MySpace where you will also find further details: www.myspace.com/clivecowan As a photographer I enjoy creating 'Fine Art Photography' of subjects that appeal. I have been published (including a front cover) and commissioned for corporate advertising. Mostly I work now on digital but still enjoy using my 35mm SLR and prime lenses, many of which I also use on my digital SLR body. I have published a thirteen thousand word informative feature concerning digital photography 'Digital SLR Camera Feature' which is available to read on-line. I invite you to explore my Photography Galleries and Viewer where you will find photographs of Essex including Southend-on-Sea, Leigh-on-Sea, Colchester and subjects of general interest such as the Tall Ship 'Atlantis' and the 'Waverley' Paddle Steamer. Also there are pages dedicated to the 'Battle of Britain' featuring exclusive images of the Hawker Hurricane and Avro Lancaster, and the beautiful Consolidated Catalina PBY5a 'amphibious seaplane'. I am available for commissions and weddings: www.ccr.euromarques.com/clive_cowan_photography.htm If you have MySpace or FaceBook Accounts, I invite you to 'friend' me there: www.myspace.com/clivecowan www.facebook.com/clivecowan Kindest Regards, Clive
