ADMISSION ONLY £5 BEFORE 10pm!!

It’s the lead-up to Christmas, so get yourself in a happy mood to see you through the rest of the week and have a laugh with us once a month on Mondays. We proudly present an appealing line-up of Top Comedians featuring an eclectic selection of various styles from the World of Comedy.

HEADLINE - PAUL TONKINSON
Well known face around Southend, although a self-confessed professional Northerner and far worse, a celebrity Manchester United fan! Paul Tonkinson is a star of comedy in all its forms. Having made his name as host of “The Sunday Show” he took an even bigger step into the limelight when he replaced Johnny Vaughan on “The Big Breakfast”.

SUPPORT - JOHN GORDILLO
John Gordillo is a comedian from London who recently returned to stand up after a 6 year break, directing and writing various productions. He did stand up from 1996-2000, then left the circuit to host and co-create a nightly comedy/talk show for BBC Choice, which won a devoted following, running for two years. He has also directed countless live shows, as well as two seasons of the celebrated weekly gang show “Ealing Live!”

COMPERE - CAREY MARX
Carey brings to mind an old-fashioned comic-book schoolboy. The sort of slightly naughty mischief who, after being caught using his catapult to scrump apples from the tress in the local orchard, would put on his most innocent doe-eyed look and shrug from beneath his cutely lopsided school cap that it wasn’t him.

Spend this Sunday afternoon chilling out to the beats of Blues and Reggae at Churchills!

27 September 2 - 4.30pm

Jerimiah Marques & the Blue Aces will play Chicago Blues and Roots Reggae. First transforming listeners to the blues heyday of the 1950’s and the magic sounds of Howling Wolf and Muddy Waters, they will then switch to another groove, that of Roots Reggae, as exemplified by Toots and the Maytals.

Jerimiah Marques - vocals
Pete Nash - keys
West Weston - harps
