Ten Tigers formed 10 years ago. They describe their style as anarchic indie pop, or ‘crayon rock’: ‘is the kind of art rock that children might make. We draw big pictures and then scribble over all the lines, mixing genres and ignoring the usual rules about how to write a song’.

Their new album Milk Teeth is a collection of all the early songs, (including 82, Superlucky, and The Tiger Who Came to Tea) – ‘the sharp little pieces which got us through the early years and secured support slots with the Lovely Eggs and Beatglider and got us onto Radio 6 and the Cherryade Christmas compilation. Quirky, spirited, and quite unlike anything you have heard before, you might not like it but you won’t be bored.’

What about their launch next week?
‘Support comes from underground feminist/queer punk super hero STE MCCABE, ‘a man who can make you think and dance at the same time’, and local indie band ART GRUPPE, who make jangly, summery tunes the way indie used to be, before Ten Tigers came along and punked all over it.’

The Kool Kids Club present Harvard Bass who is coming all the way from the USA.

Ramos’ altar ego, Harvard Bass, was spawned in December 2007 in a natural evolution towards music production. He was instantly adopted by Sound Pellegrino, an Institubes sub-label curated by Teki Latex and DJ Orgasmic, after they invited him to remix “Sixpack Anthem”.

As demonstrated in his debut single “Caked” and “81”, the music of Harvard Bass is a combination of elegant, smooth and sophisticated minimalism on one side and bad ass dirty jacking ghetto house grooves with filthy drums and simple, obsessive riffs on the other. Such a formula has earned him massive support from DJs like Tiga, Laidback Luke, Crookers, Benny Benassi, Diplo, Brodinski, Christian Martin, Jess & Crabbe, Sinden, Feadz, Acid Girls, Fluokids and many, many more.
