The White Bus are showing TELSTAR at the Palace Theatre this Sunday.

Set against a backdrop of early 60’s London,TELSTAR is the story of the world’s first independent record producer, Joe Meek. A maverick genius who enjoyed phenomenal early success with Telstar – the biggest selling record of its time – before bad luck, depression, heartbreak and paranoia forced him into murder and suicide.

Starts at 7.30pm/ £6 tickets.

The White Bus Film Club returns in the new year with a fresh set of rolls from the White Bus archive.

As usual the screening starts with a short documentary at 7pm, followed by a British feature film at 8pm. The exact screening programme is a surprise but just to give you an idea, the previous features included ‘The Adventures of Baron Munchhausen’, ‘Bad Behaviour’, ‘A Canterbury Tale’, ‘Dance with a Stranger’ and ‘Fallen Idol’…

Admission is FREE but donations (£1) towards the running costs are welcome.

The screening starts at 7pm with a documentary followed by a British feature film at 8pm. This week you can learn about how to deal with predators!!!! That’s all we can say as the titles of the films are not revealed until the screening.

Mike Lowther from The White Bus in Southend is VJing at the Union Chapel this Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The proceeds from the MARGINALISED event (organised by Arctic Circle band) will go towards the support of the Margins Project, an in-house charity for people who are homeless or in crisis in London.
