The 2010 Visual Arts Exhibition hosted by Southend Arts Council, now invites local artists to submit their applications. The exhibition will be held in Southend Central Library and is organised by Gina Warner, the new SOSAC Visual Arts representative. Submit your work on 10 March.
You can submit up to two painting or up to four craft items (embroidery, textiles, decoupage, jewellery etc.). Entries may be of any medium, three-dimensional to a maximum size of 30” x 20” (no exceptions).
• All works must be for sale. Entry fee £2 per work, 50p per craft item
• Framing and mounting must be in sound and good condition (no photographic frames)
• Screw eyes and nylon cord must be affixed to the back of the exhibit
• A self adhesive label must be affixed to the back of the exhibit showing:

MEDIUM
NAME AND ADDRESS:
AFFILIATED CLUB OR INDIVIDUAL MEMBER
PRICE
• Craft items must carry the above information on a label securely attached
• Works submitted are entirely at the risk of the exhibitor
• Commission may be charged and retained on all sales
• The exhibition will be insured by the Library against fire, theft and other normal perils whilst in the possession of the library.
• The Arts Council reserve the right to determine policy for displaying exhibits
