This FREE half-day event is for sole traders or anyone working in a Creative and Cultural Industries company. It will outline how the Arts Council operates, its work, with particular emphasis in the Eastern region and the policies it has for each artform.
It will also explain how the Arts Council supports, through different funding streams, artists and arts organisations and develop audiences and participants. There will be a brief explanation of current changes happening in the Arts Council.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Jo Baxendale has a strong background in managing arts-led projects in the public realm, particularly as the project manager for regional visual arts organisation, Commissions East. Part of her remit was to facilitate the delivery of a range of projects in the public realm for both the public and private sector, working in the middle ground between the artist and the commissioner. Jo joined the Arts Council in 2009 as Visual Arts Officer.
