The Producers is of the most hilarious musicals ever written.
The Producers outrageously lampoons the odious Nazi regime of seventy years ago, this hit musical became a major success both on Broadway, winning 23 awards, and in London’s West End where it received rapturous reviews until closing only two years ago.
It may no longer shock or offend as it once did but it still retains its ability to provide terrific entertainment that serves as both a giddy tribute to Broadway musicals and as a parody thereof. Among an array of side-splitting musical numbers, Springtime for Hitler is the most well-known.
